The right candidate will take on meaningful work from day one, representing clients across a broad range of trade matters including antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, customs counseling and representation before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Associates may also advise clients in connection with Section 201, 232, 301, and other proceedings impacting trade.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in trade remedy, customs law, or a closely related field, along with active bar membership in good standing (D.C. Bar or eligibility to waive in). Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience at a federal agency, such as the Department of Commerce, USITC, CBP, or USTR, or at a trade-focused law firm is a plus, as is familiarity with AD/CVD questionnaire practice, customs proceedings, or trade policy and compliance work. Foreign language proficiency is welcome but not required.
