
Alexandra Calayan is a legal assistant who supports attorneys in proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Her work includes supporting court filings and record appendices, analyzing administrative records, customs issues, trade remedies, and standards of review, and assisting with litigation strategy and client guidance. She also supports matters involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection, including recent client filings challenging IEEPA tariffs following the Supreme Court’s decision in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump.
Prior to Joining Trade Pacific
Alexandra graduated with Distinction and Highest Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and Global Studies. She defended and published an honors thesis under the supervision of Dr. Navin A. Bapat. During her time at UNC, she served on the executive board of the university’s ethics center and was active in student leadership and honor societies. Her previous experience includes work on Capitol Hill, policy research at a leading Washington, D.C. think tank, and service in the Office of the Governor of North Carolina.
