Alexandra Calayan is a legal assistant who supports attorneys with antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Additionally, she assists with matters involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT). Alexandra also researches and analyzes trade policy, helping develop strategies aligning with current regulations and best practices.
Prior to Joining Trade Pacific
Alexandra graduated with Distinction and Highest Honors in Political Science and Global Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). As part of her academic achievements, she defended and published an honors thesis under the supervision of Dr. Navin A. Bapat. At UNC-CH, Alexandra also served on the executive board of the university’s ethics center and was a member of the pre-law fraternity and several honor societies. Her professional experiences include interning on Capitol Hill, conducting policy research at a prominent D.C. think tank, and supporting the Office of the Governor of North Carolina.
